Dr Wilkinson completed medical school in the UK. After several years working for the NHS she came to Aotearoa for what was supposed to be an 8-month stint – but never left! She completed her Emergency Medicine training in New Zealand and Australia and became a Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM). Since settling into FACEM life, Dr Wilkinson has started to develop her portfolio, which includes roles in family violence, clinical leadership, ultrasound, gender equality policy, and safety. She has special interests in point of care ultrasound and advancing woman in emergency medicine. Outside of her clinical work, Dr Wilkinson enjoys trail running, mountain biking and yoga.
