15 Sep 2023Emergency Consult is thrilled to be amongst the finalists in this year’s Waikato Chamber of Commerce Business Awards announced this week at Waikato University’s The Pā.
And we’re not in the running for just one award...but two! Emergency Consult is a finalist for the Innovation Award, while CEO Jenni Falconer is a finalist for Emerging Leader of the Year.
A panel of 29 judges assessed 76 entries to name 21 businesses from the Waikato - from Te Kauwhata to Taupō - as finalists.
Head judge Dr Heather Connolly of Waikato University’s Management School said the judges were impressed with the quality of this year’s finalists.
“We were also pleased to see the number of entries up on last year...The calibre of entrants was excellent and it’s always encouraging to see businesses enter for the first time,” Connolly said.
This is the first time Emergency Consult has entered the awards. We are among 15 other first-time entrants who have also been named as finalists.
Supported by Foster Construction Group, these prestigious business awards are celebrated annually and will crown winners in 11 categories at next month’s gala dinner.
Jenni Falconer says this recognition was thanks to the combined work of the Emergency Consult team. “This is a testament to our team's mahi and commitment to digital transformation in the health sector.”
Falconer also congratulates the other finalists that Emergency Consult, and she herself, are up against. Along with Falconer, Emerging Leader of the Year finalists are Carl Saywell (MS Civil Construction) and Adam Norman (Normans Transport).
Vying for the Innovation Award against Emergency Consult is Helix Flight Manufacturing Machines Ltd and Flight Structures Ltd.
